IWT ‘Paul Zeeuwts Award’ for the innovative company that creates substantial
economic value
On the 17 th of March 2011 Clear2Pay received an award by the Flemish Institute for Innovation through Science and Technology for the substantial economic value its innovative solutions have created over the past five years, both in its home market and internationally. The award was presented to the founders of Clear2Pay Michel Akkermans (Chairman and CEO) and Jurgen Ingels (CFO) in the Flemish Parliament.

Banking & Finance ICT Innovation Awards 2009
Clear2Pay received an ‘Honourable Distinction’ for its PocketBanking product in the ICT Innovation Awards organised by the European publication Banking & Finance. Awards were presented to German, Belgian, Dutch and British companies for innovative projects realised within the financial services industry. The jury specifically referred to the fact that Clear2Pay takes a holistic rather than a piecemeal mobile payments approach, which typically only covers micro payments.

Award for Most Promising Company of 2009
The judges unanimously chose the financial technology company Clear2Pay for the ‘Prize of the Flemish Government for Most Promising Company 2009’. The prize for most
promising company is celebrating its fifth anniversary and is always presented
to a first generation company that is experiencing strong growth and clearly profiling itself in one of the following criteria: competitiveness, innovation, internationalisation,
entrepreneurship, responsible management and vision.
The chairman of the Jury Geert Noels says about Clear2Pay: “Clear2Pay impressed
the judges with a very high score on the TI² (Technology, Innovation & International) scale. The strong
technology, the innovative approach and the focus on an international growth from the beginning at the
company in this globally operating sector allowed Clear2Pay to grow at a rapid tempo as a young
company to a level that many more mature companies do not achieve. Furthermore the judges hold the
opinion that the growth of Clear2Pay is far from complete, there is certainly more than enough room to
grow in the coming years, even in these less favourable market conditions, which further increases the need for better and faster payment systems.”

European Seal of e-Excellence: Gold category
On the 4th of March 2008, the European Multi-media Forum (EMF) and its national and regional partners awarded the European Seal of e-Excellence to ICT-companies with an excellent track record in innovation marketing.
