Sienna’s ePayment solution to be implemented at Macquarie Bank

Sydney, 9th December 2002 – Sienna Technologies (part of Clear2Pay), a leading provider of electronic payment and delivery solutions, has been chosen by Macquarie Bank to implement its state-of-the-art electronic payments processing solution.

Sienna ePayments is an open flexible solution that provides banks and other financial institutions with a completely automated and integrated payments processing system that securely receives and validates payments of any size and in any format including payrolls, dividends, retirement benefits and super payments.

“As part of the Bank’s strategy to provide world class solutions to our business customers, we need to ensure our payments processing is as efficient, convenient, secure and as automated as possible and Sienna had the right solution for us,” said Mr Russell Mourney, Division Director, Macquarie’s Banking Division.

“Sienna’s solution also allows for rapid connection to our Internet banking systems with relatively low integration costs,” added Mr Mourney.

Over the coming months, Macquarie will work closely with Sienna to implement the new ePayments solution. When the solution goes live next year, Macquarie Bank customers will benefit from more timely and automated responses regarding the status of their payment files and additional features such as a secure web-based inquiry facility.

Commenting on the contract win, Nigel Holman, Sienna’s Chief Executive Officer said the company is excited to be partnering with Macquarie Bank Limited.

“We have been producing electronic delivery and payments solutions for banking and financial services organisations for more than fourteen years and have a wealth of experience and a proven track record in this area,” added Mr Holman.
