SIBS-Processos implements Clear2Pay’s Open Payment Framework (OPF)

Portuguese InterBank Company launches full outsourced payments processing services to Portuguese banks

Brussels/Lisboa – 16 September 2009 – Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of next generation payment solutions for financial institutions announces that SIBS PROCESSOS, part of the SIBS Group, the Portuguese interbank processor (SIBS – Forward Payment Solutions), will be implementing its Open Payment Framework as the core technology for its Payment Hub project. This project will offer full outsourced payment processing services to banks.

The objective of the project is to offer ‘full outsourcing’, and as such it will replace payment applications in the participating banks, integrating the central SIBS payment hub with a wide range of applications at the bank to offer a full and rich service. In order to deliver this service SIBS PROCESSOS has agreed to purchase the Open Payment Framework including the Domestic & International Payments, SEPA Direct Debit and SEPA Credit Transfer solutions.
